[size=20]OMG[/size] WOW! This bike is awesome. For all the good hearted bitchin' that goes on here I can't believe the machine. The MoCo really it it on the head with this motorcycle. Needless to say I am one happy camper.
Savannah HD was a pleasure to do business with.
The day started going down to the dealership & dealing w/ the F&I guy. No real problems. Pretty much what I expected. Dealt w/ the add-on parts, a few new Motroclothes (when mama is happy, AJ is happy) signed all the forms, etc.. Then went over the bike (PDI). A few problems: Yes I had seen the orange peel previously mentioned. On the left side cover under the seat there is a protective film on the cover. This film had an air bubble in it. It was very noticable after seeing it. They said 'no problem' we'll order a new one. Other than that there was nothing that jumped right out. My buddy & I went to Hooter's for lunch (see attached) then it was time to hit the road. Yeah I was nervous! It had drizzled on and off throughout the day. I was on my way. Bike had 11 miles on it when we left. After 30 miles I stopped to let it cool down & checked the fluids. All was fine. I kept it under 3k rpms but looked down in 5th gear & I was doing 70 in a 45! Man this thing likes to move. ;D Babyed it all the way home. I did hit rain for a short while but it wouldn't be normal if I hadn't. All in all, I am very pleased with everything.
First thing to do is pipes, ECM, & A/C. Must have!!! The bike has no sound.
The heated seats & grips worked fine. They were hooked up correctly. I did not notice any paint problems on the sadle bags. She is now sleeping in the garage until tomorrow's break-in run to Charleston. Sassy said I could NOT sleep in the garage

AJ,

We think alike for color on our bikes!!!

Congrads on your new bike. Glad to hear you did not see any scraches on your saddle bags.

I was told to wait for the 1000 miles to hit before changing the pipes out. Give the bike time to break in before makeing those changes so that when you do get those pipes on, the engine is already broken in well.

I know the feeling when the bike has no sound but the waiting for those pipes on at the 1k mile marker makes it even more exciting.

Enjoy your new ride,

Big Dave

Congrats AJ on the new ride.  You obviously have great taste in colors too.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  I heard a stock CVO Ultra at my dealer today, (Richmond Harley, has a B&O  [smiley=jester.gif] sitting in the showroom, and not spoken for as of 3pm this afternoon), and those stock pipes sound anemic.  My dealer said no problems changing out the pipes right away.  I spoke with them today and they did put base map 84 in the SERT.  Dyno time to come when I get 1K on it.  Just went over 600 today, getting closer [smiley=biggthumpup.gif].  I asked the dealer if it was better to leave the stock pipes on the bike for the break in and they stated that it doesn't hurt the engine at all, as long as it has a good base map in the ECM.  If it wasn't okay, they wouldn't have done it.   I took their word on it, because they do it all the time.  I'm still getting 40mpg with this map, but I'm sure when the get it closer to a 13:1 fuel ratio, my gas mileage will slip some.

Congrats on your new baby jester AJ. Looks great and yeh these bikes like to move out, you think your doing 40 like you said and look down and wow 70? This is by far the best Harley I've bought to date. Harley has nailed it this time on the motor/trans combo.

As far as all of the good hearted bitchin. No matter what fourm your on about bikes, cars, boats, ect people will complain/vent. That is good to see your not the only person having a problem and we can look at our bikes and see if we have the same problem or when problem comes along we can handle the problem easier. It is nice to see some good threads on how harley has done a great job or your local stealer doing a good deed.  Ride it like you stoled it.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
