Too long to wait!!!
« on: November 27, 2006, 01:19:39 AM »

Has been over a month since I last posted due to my sob story. I was happy as a pig in s--t on saturday 11-4-06. On the prior thursday I finalized the deal on new 07 smurf jester. Told Kauai H-D I would be in saturday to pick her up. Everything like clockwork includeing a deal that even amazed me. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] You have to see the pics to see the smile all the way to my toes.

IMA29, Where did you buy your bike in Kauia? It looks like Two Wheels Kauai. I thought I had the 07 SEUC in the state. I live on Oahu and was wondering if you are going to keep the bike in Kauai or ship it to Alaska?

07 CVO and ULTRFXR,
Thanks for the kind words to all. Two Wheels lost dealership but I believe Kauai H-D still is affiliated with Pacific as Cycle City is. I think you snuck in and got the O/B as we all thought it was destined for Kauai with my name on it. That's what happens when your the last island out. All  surprised to see the smurf. My wife was stuck on the O/B till she saw her. No justice in pictures. We are both extremely happy with color. I do intend to ship to CA and ride her up next year sometime and will keep the road king on island. The ultra needs unlimited miles to run!!

Thank god no damage to smurfette except windshield which I will replace with 2- memphis shades. And for all of you, I encourage and will definitely be completely geared up anytime I ride. Fortunately when I left from home I did put on boots and helmet. We all are vulnerable :(.

Have you figured out how to put headsets on 1/2 helmets yet? And am happy for Cycle City full motor replacement for you. Pacific has been great to deal with.

.... Tunes blareing, smile and bugs in my teeth not 5 miles from home when 2 wild pigs jumped from the guinea grass into the rode. I tried like h-ll to keep her on the pavement to avoid the pigs but to no avail. Into the 8 foot high grass and wet soft shoulder. Unbelievably I never went over. Came to a stop with front tire on road and about a 150 degree turn. Fortunately someone stopped behind me to keep traffic off me. After gathering my wits I rode back home and new by the time I got home that I had broken my collar bone. I drove my self in to emergency ...
I have put about 2000 miles on smurfette by stareing at her. ...

Yeah, can sure see that new owner smile all the way over here in VA.  I know we are not supposed to laugh at the ailments of others, but you are one tough SOB..... driving yourself to the hospital and all.  But I love that you putting your miles on even if it is staring at her.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

IMA29, You know how Pacific H-D is and Cycle City is the Distributors own store. Sorry if they sold me your bike, but at least you can rest assured that I will take propper care of her. "When she gets out of the shop" in case you missed some of my past post. I took the bike in for her 1000 mile service and was surprised to hear that the bike needed a new engine since it had an oil leak on the rear cylinder at the bottom of the head. The tech's are not sure if if was a casting/assembly/or inferior head gasket problem. I am currently on day 12 without my B/O Jester and the loaner bike just is not cutting it. So it may have been a blessing in discuise for you not getting the B/O and getting the Smurf.

If you are ever on Oahu and want to ride give me a shout, and once they open the inter-island ferry I plan on going to Kauai and doing some riding. My wife and I love Kauai and we go there a few time a year to get away from the Oahu hustle and bustle

07 CVO,
Probably won't see me in the concrete jungle but invitation is always open to you here on Kauai. Put your jester on Young Bros. Hopefully motor arrives shortly for you.

Glad to here you are OK, at least you will be riding soon. In the midwest we have very limited riding for the next four months.  Gear works, glad to here you had yours on. We have seat belt laws and no helmet laws, makes no sense to me??? :-/
