Hi guys how many miles do you get to a full tank of fuel. My is around 171 on a (14 model) miles a mates (13 model) is 231

I assume from your screen name you ride a '14 Breakout?  Jswerve quoted a range of around 230 miles on his '12 SE Streetglide.  I, too, have a '12 SE Streetglide and manage around 220-250 mile range.  Based on just those two, your 171 miles seems a bit low. 
Since you are posting in the CVO Breakout section, you may want to change your subject line to say "How Many miles do you get to a tank on your Breakout".  Some folks (me included) read the subject and comment on that not paying attention to where it was posted.....not trying to be smart here just want you to receive the information you need so you can compare apples to apples, not apples to oranges....

On my '13 CVO BO I rode 220 miles yesterday before I filled up again with the gauge down to one bar. So I would say it would be 220+ for me.

Me either, Jesse.  I read the post and your reply without paying any attention to where he posted it.  However, 171 does seem a bit low on a 110 no matter what/where/what kind of bike it's in.....

If you're just going by the fuel gauge and filling up when it says you only have X miles to empty, you may be getting a false indication.  How many gallons does it take to fill the tank when you fill it?  In other words, how many miles per gallon?

If I'm not mistaken the fuel tank capacity is five gallons.  Even if you only got forty miles per gallon that would be 200 miles (Harley claims 43 mpg in mixed city/highway riding).  Since few of us actually wait until we're riding on fumes to stop and fill up, 170 miles might be perfectly normal.

The best I can get out of my FLHXSE3 is 195 miles.  On the FXSBSE I don't have a clue, but it's got a smaller tank anyway.

i get about 200 per tank on my sg3,,  i think thats pretty good since i did all the work,,   a good tune really helps... stuart

If we are riding by ourselves on the SG we see upper 40's, with a multi bike ride the lower 40's, if other cvo's in the next lane......well.....The new breakout only has 600 miles and no tune yet but it looks like it will be about the same.  It only carries 5 gallons so range may differ.......

On my 14 CVO Breakout, I'm averaging 41 mpg, so tank range is 205.  How many miles do I go, not pushing it much right now due to the unknowns regarding the reserve light.

I got 180 from first couple of tanks but it seems to be getting better as miles pile on and engine breaks in I got 210 on last tank
