Speaker Pods for Tourpak
« on: April 23, 2014, 09:38:58 AM »

Because of Porthole's Pic, I now must add speaker pods to my tourpak as it looks nekkid without them. Problem is I am clueless on this subject, amoung others. 1st choice would be Harley pods, but most used ones I have found are in really rough shape. Does anyone have any knowledge of Mutazu pods? Hog Tunes also makes a set that look good, have heard good and bad about other products, anyone use their pods? T-Roy turned me on to some blanks which I will use if I leave my tourpak unwired. Any info is better than what I have.

2K,

I think I saw some on Amazon.com.

If I'm correct, they were the HD ones and they were A LOT cheaper then the MoCo. Another thought is that Hog Tunes sell the pods too, minus the volume/channel change knobs.

Dante,

I believe that they require an HD wiring module. If you need to know more send them a mail or phone them.
My bike is already fitted with pods as standard equipment, so I don't know from experience.
I have bought a lot of stuff from eGlide goodies, and remembered seeing different aftermarket pods on the site, when I saw your post. Most of their stuff listed is available elsewhere - but I find it convenient to buy all under one roof, and they don't give me a hard time about being overseas.
Cheers,

Biketronics sells Tour Pak pods with the 7" HAT speakers that really kick butt.  Here's a pic of the Biketronic's pod compared to the stock pod.

My pods were a Craigslist special.

I used a heat gun to push out the side a bit to fit Hawg Wired speakers.
Wire harness is all mine. Got the connectors from the Dealer and wired it with a 12 pin.

4 wires for speakers, 2 for a 12 volt ciggy lighter type port, running, directionals and brake lights.

Those BT pods look huge! How much passenger seating space do you lose?
