FULLSAC NEW 2.5" CVO BAFFLES
« on: April 25, 2014, 07:52:44 AM »

NOTE: Mods, I posted this in the wrong spot, would you be so kind to relocate please?

Last week Steve posted that he had a new baffle, and it was in stock. All I can say is THANK YOU STEVE!!!!!!!!

Now I know that sound is very subjective and to each, their own. But I could not be more STOKED with these new

baffles. They are truly what I have been looking for.

Steve has mentioned if you like "Loud and Deep", then these are for you! Now they have a real nice rumble at idle, much more

then the 2.25" baffles I had installed. However they ARE NOT super loud, like setting off car alarms loud.

I'm still young at heart and these are the perfect balance of sound, performance, and still the having the killer look of the stock CVO

4" cans. With Steve's Stage II Sleeper Kit and these new baffles, it sounds like a whole, different motorcycle again!

Below are a couple photos for everyone to see the difference. I did cut down and reused the old insulation.

Glad your pleased with the new set up.

I used to have 2.0 Fullsac cores, then switched to 4" Rineharts with the 2.25" baffles for more sound and attitude, and I definitely got all that. What I like about the Rineharts is the deep and nasty idle sound and the sound everywhere else, except I do wish they were a bit quieter under load, as in riding up a hill or 2 up. On the highway the sound really goes behind you, so I don't have any issues on the highway.

I wonder which Fullsac cores would be similar in sound as the Rineharts at idle, but just a bit mellower under load? The 2.25 regular, 2.25 SD, or maybe these new 2.5"?

North Star,

I use to have the 3.5" Rineys before switching to Fullsac 2.25" baffles. After doing 300 miles yesterday with the new 2.5 baffles, I can say louder then the 2.25" baffles, Deeper, and NO ear ringing effect at all.

I am very pleased.

I just installed the 2.5" fullsac cores. Nice low rumble at idle but sounded close to stock at speed. I'm still running stock head pipes though. Perhaps it will sound a bit louder with aftermarket head pipes.

Get a Fullsac X-pipe (I would elect for the "D" series) and the TTS from them at the same time and your sound, performance, and heat from the cat WILL all change for the better.
