Biker Bars
« on: April 25, 2014, 05:24:39 PM »

Not the kind with stripper poles. Had these installed in my trailer today. If anybody is looking for a way to trailer bikes without straps this is the way to go!

I recall seeing those before and wanted to look for a set but damn if I could remember the name.

Don't know if this is the brand he used. Have friends that swear by them.

I heard about this recently too, and am considering it. I'm new to trailering, so gettin' her locked down using the ratchet strap tie downs takes me awhile, and is a PITA.

Apparently the Biker Bar doesn't need tie downs, I imagine especially so if you use a good wheel chock like my Condor.

Would like to hear some more feedback about this product as well.

They are called biker bars. Got mine from KT Performance. I've actually been using for a while. My dad has them in his trailer. Definitely more secure than straps. You hook a bar to the frame and then ride through the bracket until the bar is in place. Then lock down on both sides. Keeps the bike upright. Also uses trailer's suspension instead of using bike's suspension. I wasn't so sure when we installed the first set, but I took bikes to Sturgis using them. Have driven from Wyoming to Texas and back numerous times and never had a bike move on me. Having another one installed in my trailer next week.
