Chip also has quite a number of his other childhood toys on shelves and hanging from the ceilings...like he knew that Chip's rode a unicycle since he was a kid?

Lynn, his secretary....not to be confused with Lynn, his wife....is also the tour guide....

They have a new shop next door. Lynn said that Chip built all the furniture in the new building. This is her current office and has been for 12-15 years but she said she's really looking forward to finally getting moved over to the new building. In her office is where they keep all the t-shirts, jackets, etc. to sell to the fans. Yes, I had to get a t-shirt.....just so I could prove I'd been there.

We did find Chip's donuts though.....

This is Chip's personal woody wagon (So Cal has a lot of woody wagons and I think I saw most of them this weekend). He hasn't done a car for himself in a lot of years but he's going to start on this one.

Looking up at the ceiling....

As we were leaving, we walked down to the end of the street to snap this pic of Lanzini's Body Works (where they paint all of the cars on Overhaulin. It's just a few doors down, at the end of the court. It's also smaller than it looks on TV.

As we were walking back to my truck, there was this little ride at the deli, next door....

It was a nice tour to see all this stuff first hand and hear the stories and of course the price was right....free. Oh, and I bought a t-shirt.....less than you're going to pay at an HD dealership! All in all it was a good time.
Once we got back to the truck, I got to thinking.....I should have asked if they had window stickers for the back window of my truck.....be right back. I walked back over and went in and asked Lynn but she said they were out of stock and expected them in this week.
As I started back out the driveway and through the gates a black Ford F-150 pulled up to the gate. I was pretty sure I knew who this was, as I'd seen this truck on the show on several occassions. Yep, it was Chip.
I know that man is busy and probably gets hounded all the time but.....what the heck, he can always say no. "Chip, do you mind if I get a quick picture?". His reply was totally unexpected....
"sure....do you want to be in it with me?". He's just like he is on TV, very nice and very humble guy.

After the pics and some casual conversation he asked "did you get something....go get it and bring it in....I'll sign it for you". Just very surprising for a man as busy as he is. Lynn shared with us about all the projects he's got going besides Overhaulin.....he's defiinately a busy guy.
Here's the truck....if you're ever in the neighborhood and see it rollin down the road....

SoCal is very serious about their cars and a quick google search shows many "cruise in's" on a weekend day. We aimed for the bigger cruise ins....a couple of them had been the location for the reveal on Overhaulin in the past.....places like Deraleck Donuts and Coffee and Cars, etc. Both of those start at 5:00 a.m. and so we had to get to call it a night and looked forward to our full day planned for Sat.
