For my 2011 Limited Dunlop makes an American Elite line that is similar to the stock Dunlops and the older Elite 3's.  Lots of people run the Metzler and Michelin equivalent.

Tri-County Harley-Davidson in Ohio gives 20% off, no tax and $10 shipping per tire.  Ask for Rebecca.   :2vrolijk_21:

Several brands have that rear tire size but unfortunately not it that load range (80). So you are stuck with the H-D branded Dunlop D407.

Added - ditto on getting the OEM tire from Rebecca at Tri-County H-D.

There are no valid alternatives as long as you keep the stock rims.  Harley chose rim and tire sizes very wisely, had Dunlop create a tire just for their wheels, and can now sit back and charge premium prices for replacements that no one else sells.

As for discount pricing, all I can recommend is spending some time on the web searching for dealers that discount their tires.  I'm sure they are out there, but that sort of thing changes all the time.
