I've ridden the dragon many times cause I've been with people that have never ridden it...i think everybody needs to ride it one time to see what it's all about...lots of better roads in that area to concentrate on...jmho

Good timing. So am I.   Too bad you got rid of the Shark for a Batwing though. Will be tough to pick you out of the crowd. I'll be running with two Bats and a highly modded Shark.

Heading down to the Dragon in late July, then Northwest Arkansas, hwy 7, pig trail, 65 and 71 to name a few. Staying in Eureka Springs and Fayetteville in September.

Let me know your recommendations related to places to stay when going to the Dragon, always looking for other ideas.

Man, I am so out of things. I've been on Honey Badger all of 4 times in 2014... But ONE of those times WAS actually on the Dragon.

When I read these post about the Dragon I sorta forget sometimes how it seems to riders to come in and ride the darn thing since I live in East Tn. There's a lot more rd's around my area that's just as fun and not near as crowded as the Dragon just don't have the Hype that it does. Ride the Cobra through Shady Valley, the Snake coming back from Waynesville into Newport. Across 66 from Rogersville into Sneedville, Hwy 70 from Greenville into Rogersville. 321 around by Watauga Lake into Erin just to name a few.
 I guess you really don't think about the rd's you ride on as much until someone else brags on them.
 I Love East Tn. though, always have and always will.

Thanks for the recommendations, I will have to check those out.  I love hitting the roads that the locals recommend.

Yea me too, living 1 and 1/2 hours from the parkway I know many great roads with out the idiots and hype. God made western N.C. AND eastern Tn. for riders and I am grateful

I full agree.  Moved to east TN in 2001 for all the great riding.  70 miles from my driveway to the TN side of the Dragon.  So many better roads in the area.  I love 360 from Tellico to Vonore.  70 from Lenoir City to Kingston is great, then again from Rockwood to Crossville.  Then 64 along the Ocoee river, or 68 from Tellico to GA.  The list goes on.  Snake is another good one.  Heck the 3 mile twisty road to my house is like a mini dragon and have dragged the floor boards on it.

What a great ride. My wife and I are checking out the Chattanooga area in hopes of relocating in about 3 years.

Just a couple roads I took while in North Carolina that I found to be more challenging then the Dragon.  80 off the BRP just west of Little Switzerland, the rattlesnake 209 to Hot Springs, 226A... Really enjoyed 9 South to chimney rock from Asheville as well.
