Got to much grass, bout 21 acres. What the horses don't eat, the 72" Kubota does. And far the heavy stuff, got a 50hp Kubota with a 7' Hog.

Sounds like my place. 36 acres total, 19 in groomed pasture and another 1.5 acres around the house that gets better treatment. I've been paring down the amount that needs mowing every year, this year Mother Nature helped by killing off some of my centipede with the cold winter we had. Those areas are now covered in mulch and groundcovers. For the rest, ZTR is the only way to go.

42 inch ZTR also, man that is a grass cutting machine. Had to stay 42 inches or below so I can get between some trees and plants. Had a Snapper for 16 years, traded for the Gravely. Love cutting the grass now.

Don't remind me---John Deere Z track-850, 27hp, 72" deck, commercial zero turn. We mow 25 of 40 acres. Start mowing in May and quit in October. At least my wife enjoys mowing. She puts her headset on and goes to it.  I just got done with a 200 mi ride today along the Mississippi River---fun. Now I need to go mow---not fun. At least part of the day was enjoyable.

I love mowing, it usually takes me 4.5 beers to get er done!

We had a huge yard with a massive hill at the old place, so we bought a Craftsman front wheel drive model... that thing is awesome at our new place that's half the size and almost all flat!!

Staying busy with work leaves not much time to mow the lawn on a consistent schedule. Sooooo, I bought the lovely wife a rear engine rider.  :bananarock: Told her don't mow west of the avocado or palm tree, as the property slopes down prolly 20 degrees or so toward the gator, snake, lizard, tarpon, bass, turtle, infested canal, with an occasional floater(body). Hate to see the mower have a mind of its own, and wind up in the water with her on it.
