something new coming in June
« on: May 13, 2014, 02:13:01 PM »

I was at my dealership today to have a update performed on my 14 Limited AVC. I have a early bike, I think that is why it was needed. The upload did the trick.

Now; the reason for this post. My dealer told me something exciting was coming out in June as a 15 model. I guess time will tell? He did not have specifics. That was all he was told.

Since they came out with the "Street" earlier, I guess this one will be the "Dirt".  :nixweiss:

Road Glide returns to the lineup would be my real guess.  Hopefully they didn't let Arlen or Cory Ness work on the design.

Makes sense to try to gin up excitement at the start of riding season rather than the tail end.

This could finally meant a "move" by Jerry.  He's sitting there on a 2005 model and here come the '15s.   No way he is gonna allow himself to be riding an H.D. over 10 years old.

I'm thinkin' the heavy money favors him (moving up) to a new model when they come out.   Just a matter of which one. ::)

The dealer seemed pretty excited. He also mentioned how flat the softail sales have become. He said the dressers were what is keeping things going, and then he said, long time repeat buyers like me. Again, he seemed pretty excited about the 2015's and June. Hope it brings product everyone loves.

Doubt that, mother Harley is still hitting the crack pipe pretty hard these days.

$39k for any make/model motorcycle is insane.
I may be just as bad because I spent $30k for a CVO road King.

Which begs the question, are they hitting the crack pipe for asking that price, or are we for paying it?

I'm betting it's the 500 and 750 cc street bikes that were built and tested in India that Harley is raving about. A dealer in Ohio has already shown one being unloaded at his dealership.

thats already been announced, and bikes have been released to dealers so i doubt it's that.

however, as tight lipped as hd is about new model releases, i have to wonder about the validity of the op's dealer.  no one (under corporate) knows about the new model releases prior to the dealer's meeting

I agree with your assessment.  HD only did a limited release of the STREET models and my dealer said he won't be getting any until July which is supposedly the "full" release in the U.S.
