If I may make a suggestion, go into your profile and add information about your particular bike. Then when you post and don't tell us what year and model you're talking about, we can look at the profile information and make an educated guess. Saves a lot of irrelevant responses or questions asking you what bike you're talking about. As for just posting under a particular model, when that's been done in in the past it hasn't kept many people from responding with irrelevant information for different models anyway.

Oh, btw, the guys gave you the straight dope. There is no other brand of tire that will fit the stock rim and have the correct load rating. If you want a different size or brand, you will need to change the rims to something compatible with both the new tire and the bike. That tends to be rather expensive, so most are just sucking it up and paying Harley too much for their D407. Harley owners should be used to paying way too much for stuff by now, and Harley figures they've got you right where they want you.
