Key Fobs
« on: May 16, 2014, 08:41:35 PM »

How many key fobs did you get with your 14 CVO BO? I got one and the dealer said they had to keep one to start it while it was there. Never heard of that before. I need a spare man! Plus I never got the manual, I'm thinking when they find my manual they find another key fob.

BS!!!!!!! Get your other FOB and tell the dealer if he needs one you'll leave it when they service your bike. If he doesn't give it to you contact MoCo Customer Service @ (414) 343-4056.

And after you contact the MoCo, call your local police and report a theft.  That fob is yours, you paid for it, and they currently have fraudulent possession of your property.

Stand up for yourself; no one else will.

Seriously, you really thought this dealership was telling you the truth?  I've known some really naïve people in my day, but letting some guy keep the security fob for a vehicle you own takes the cake.  You do realize the clowns working in a Harley dealership aren't like clergy or your legal representative, right?  Don't be surprised if your new bike mysteriously disappears some day soon, when the friend of that guy at the dealership stops by with the other fob in his pocket.  You may want to buy some logging chain and a really big padlock to secure your new ride, since you don't have control over all the security fobs assigned to that bike.

Jerry I agree. I just never heard of it before and wanted to see if anyone else experienced the same treatment. No harm no foul. They said they couldn't find the manual or other key fob and have to order them. But he did also tell me if he did have it they will keep it there to use when the bike comes in. I agree its not staying there. I already told him to have it ready for me next time I'm there! I just thought it was a little ridiculous.
