The boats were safely docked and we needed to consider the same given the known conditions!

I do not believe this would be the shelter we needed.

Time to jump on the scoots and make the quick ride to Dingwall!

We made it!  Burton’s Sunset Oasis!  We stayed here five years ago and what a view!

Burton’s is a small motel located perfectly to see the sunset.  When I arrived it was raining and there were plenty of cloud coverage.  The motel had been remodeled and the owner is the same just blind now.

There were now some seats directly out of your room in addition to those near the water.

I was disappointed in the cloud coverage but that did not stop the others from snapping away.  I wish I could have appreciated their perspective at the time.

Day Eleven | Dingwall, Nova Scotia – New Glasgow, Nova Scotia | 225 miles

Before I left the motel, I enjoyed a long trail walk that the owners craved out and it was worth it.  The journey was not easy but in the end there was a peaceful place to be found.

After hiking some steep hills and a long trail we were getting there…

The beach was filled with pebbles and you could tell I was not the only one who had made the journey in the past.  I could hear the sounds of the buoy that I heard last night.

After the long hike back, I could feel the impact of the walk but it was time to roll.  The Cabot Trail is slightly less than 200 miles and I still had some road ahead of me.

I just love the rugged coastline and the views of the ocean here.

Reminds me a little of the Pacific Coast Highway in California.
