           Came across this the other day. 1880s dredger for farming.
               Notice the cable drum under the belly. Love these machines

We have quite a few of those turn up at summer fetes and outdoor shows in the uk .note LEEDS
On the makers plate . Not used anymore just for nostalgic pleasure .

I too love the old steam machines!

My father, before WWII, was a brakeman for the Union Pacific railroad in the Pacific Northwest, riding the big logging trains powered by the huge 4-8-8-4 articulated Big Boy engines across the mountains.

I remember seeing a Big Boy somewhere once, sitting on the tracks looking absolutely magnificent... not this one, but one like it.
