New guy from Tennessee..
« on: May 29, 2014, 11:49:52 AM »

Figured I would introduce myself.  Picked up a 2008 CVO Dyna about a month ago in the 105 anniversary colors.  This is my first HD product and cruiser (came from the sport bike world).  I was looking at HD's for a couple years, just couldn't decide on what I wanted.  I was about to pull the trigger on a new 2014 Breakout, when I happened upon the Dyna.  It was such a smoking deal I couldn't pass it up.  The bike had 2500 miles on it, SE breather kit, V&H Big Radius 2-2 and a SERT all for the low price of 10K.  I was concerned that something was wrong with the bike, but it's spotless.  The guy I bought it from is a co-worker and just never has time to ride it (like me, always working).  The bike is currently under a cover in the garage until I get home from this rotation and start tinkering with it.  I've already started ordering parts for it and hope to get it all installed when I get home.

Yeah, it would be nice to attend some sort of gtg, unfortunately with my work rotations it's too difficult to plan that stuff.  I'm only home for a month at a time every 3-4 months and I like to spend that time at the house around friends and family that I don't see often.  Maybe one of these years when I'm home for good a meet or two would be doable for me.

Used to be a helicopter mechanic, crew chief and flight engineer, the screen name just stuck and I've had it for as long as I can remember.  Used to be in the Army, served as an 11C (Mortar Infantry) for 3 years from 92-95 and then a 93B (Aero scout observer) for 2 years from 95-97 and finally a 67U (CH47 Crew Chief/Flight Engineer) from 97-2004.  Now I work as a Contractor for the Department of Defense In Kabul, Afghanistan training the Afghan Police and Air Force.
