Garage Fire
« on: June 01, 2014, 09:25:50 AM »

Fought a garage fire, late Friday afternoon. This fire was hotter than normal, and had so much thick black smoke you couldn't see the glow.  :o
Good knockdown, stopped at the garage. During overhaul, we discovered the fan, which was well away from the seat of the fire.  ::)

Wow had to be hot to melt the blades like that. Reminds me of stretched bubble gum.

Nobody got hurt I hope. Looks like you were able to keep the damage to a minimum.  Congrats on that.

John,Glad you were able to contain it and minimize the damage. Looks like the fire was mostly around the electrical panel and what looks like a water heater. What was the cause?

Glad no one was heart or worse.
Back in the 80s lost my hole home too a fire,.. it burnt flat to the ground.
Home fires are devastating.    Again, glad all are safe.

Scary stuff there. Something like this can get out of control very fast.

The fan looks like something from a Salvadore Dali painting.

Hot, but not hot enough for the bulbs to point. What was the fire?
