windshield question
« on: June 05, 2014, 08:58:07 PM »

Ok here goes........I have ran Clearview windshield for years on my past Ultra's. So when I got my 2014 I ordered a new clearview dark tint, same height as the stock HD windshield. Took off to Daytona and felt like I was fighting the bike almost the whole trip at interstate speeds. Got home took it off and put the stock shield on and felt like no more problem. Sold the new Clearview....
So after several months I decide it has to be in my head and want a dark windshield, so I ordered another Clearview. Took off last night to Memphis for Beale street. Faught the dam bike all the way there and home. Makes the bike feel loose and it want to wander. Almost like a bike feels behind a semi. Just does it all the time above 70mph.
Question is what is everyone else running and do you feel any difference?

Thanks Bob

I run Freedom Shields... No issues at all, very happy with their shield...

And they're a vendor member of the site, so they offer us a discount!

I like windvest.   That's all I ever buy.   Solid at any speed.   Never a problem.    Try theirs.  :2vrolijk_21:

I'm a LRS man.  All I'll run with.  All good options here. Good luck.

I have freedom shipping tomorrow.  As in what are you feeling different between stock and freedom ??   I just want the buffering to go away.

What I feel isn't buffeting. It's more like the bike is loose. Rode again last night with Clearview and it was a calm evening. No wind. 70mph down the interstate and bike was loose feeling once again. At slower speeds it isn't noticeable.
