Oh boy, what to do. I'm not familiar with either of these produts. I only first heard of them thru this site and think it makes sense. Between the FL's and FXR's, I just learned to live with the wheel hop and tank slappers. Not that I like it. Which is why, when I read about it, felt it would help. So, sight unseen, I was willing to try it. Now I'm finding there are 2 products. Looking at both sites, I feel that either one would work.

So, what would be the best product to use, knowing that it's going to be installed by the dealer prior to delivery, from an installation stand point at an HD dealer. which product will the dealer have the least problem installing. I'm replacing the exhaust system at the same time, so that's not an issue.

Any help making this decision would be appreciated. Thanks, Hoist!

Hoist,
No rush it will not be coverd by the "two-year warranty", and it's not a "performance enhancing" mod. so you'll be safe. ;) [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

As happy as we are spending money on our bikes this might be one worth waiting on.  Speaking only anecdotally here, but the rear (I've been told) finally got a bit of a redesign with the 07s.  Maybe HD finally got it better?

I know, I know, it's difficult to believe Harley would actually spend the money to make something safer for us just because it was a good idea to do so.  But hey, they might have.  Since this is an EASY installation about anytime you want to do it might be worth waiting and seeing how stable the bike feels.  If it's good to begin with might be money that could be set back for chrome!

I'm sold Don. Will wait on this one, on one condition. This item will be added on if needed and there will be no penalties to myself, by anyone here, for adding it on before 2 years. This part, if required on the '07, will not affect my warranty either way, and like d00d said it will not extend any warranty on this part either. (not that I really care about being lambasted by you all if I do have a moment of weakness, I still win). 8-)

Just installed the true-track last weekend. i decided on the true-track system for the easy install, didnt want to mess with the exhaust system and didnt want to send anything back for a credit. As far as the issue of the piece that wraps around the tranny, the back is open and lets air flow thru it. I think both products are fine it is just up to you and how much you want to do as far as a install goes.
I like the idea that you are not changing anything as far as parts go, you can take it off and your bike is just like before.

With all that said there is one thing that you might have to deal with, and that is the cross brace on the frame and if you have been using that to jack up your bike there is a good chance it is bent, not much but you might have to streighten it outa little.
I used a piece of 1 1/2 square tubing and a flat piece of metal, and of course a couple of old toilet bowl bolts.
I know what you are going thru, had the same problem and couldnt decide which one to buy.
Very happy with my choice.
If you want to PM me i would be happy to talk to you on the phone this weekend if you have any more questions.
Good Luck
Ernie

Jerry, if you speak to him and get the info we need for the '07's, also see what he can do for quantity or a special for CVO Owner's. No sense in us both doing this. I'll contact rideStr8, unless someone else knows him. Hoist!
Hoist, will do.  Wil has not returned my call but hopefully he will soon.  Don't know anyone at RideStr8 so please contact them.  Teamwork my friend will make it happen! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
