Hoist, if the time comes that you decide to do one or the other there is only one no-go situation I can remember that applies to either of them.  If you think you'd ever add a center stand you need to use the Ride Str8.  The Harley center stand won't work with the oil cooler.  So you're left with the Rivco as the best option (better than the HD unit anyway).  But it won't work with the True Track.  

Aside from that they really did seem just different tools to attack the same job.  We got a better price deal on the Ride Str8 for group purchases which is what initially drove some of us.  There were other factors in the decision as well.  I personally like the lesser amount of obstruction around the oil pan from the Ride Str8 bracket.  But the differences were honestly minimal.  Hopefully the 07 will be rock solid and you'll not even need to mess with the choice.

How did everyone get passed the black bracket of the Ride Str8 showing up againt a painted Screamin /eagle frame?

Only the Road Kings got the painted frame.  All the other touring bikes have black frames.  So for us, unfortunately, it was not an issue.

True Track will give discount, I'll have to dig out the paperwork to see what he offered. He's responsive and I'm happy with mine, not a difficult installation and what a difference. Well worth the $'s IMHO.
