mileage with stage 1

 :nixweiss:how many miles to a tank is everyone getting? 2014 cvo limited with stage 1 kit pipes and tuner.

i do not have an answer but,     could you describe the difference between stock and Stage one,     Just not sure if I am ready to go there...

Rather than "miles per tank", I'd suggest using miles per gallon for comparisons.  People don't all fill up when the tank is at the exact same level, if you know what I mean. 

What is a Stage 1 kit btw?  A CVO comes stock as a stage 1.  Anyhow, the mileage shouldn't vary much, if any, from stock IF the bike was tuned properly and you ride it the same as when it was totally stock.

My 2008 Ultra CVO had Stage I (hi-flow filter, Rinehart True Duals, a SERT and dyno); got 91 HP, 118 ft-lb torque, and I get 42-44 mpg.

CVOs come with a hi-flow air intake, you will have to make some changes to exhaust to complete the stage 1. You will also need a fuel management system once you change the exhaust.

2011.5 CVO Ultra...  K&N with Ventilator, Crusher True-Duals, Tailgunners (no baffles), TTS MasterTune (High-Flow w/Racing Exhaust)

I average 37-44mpg back and forth to work, and 41-48mpg on the longer rides.

2011 SERGU w/ Ventilator (oe) + K&N, Fullsac DX header and 2" cores in stock can, TTS.  About 40 mpg in regular riding, 45 on hwy at 70 mph.  Have gotten only 30 mpg 2-up w/ full Bushtec trailer while running 75-80 mph.

thanks for all the insight everyone. i had the whole exhaust taken off got rid of the cat pipe and went with vance and hines header pipe and rc components true duals and a screaming eagle super tuner and the HD mechanic mapped it pretty good but it seems like im getting real bad gas mileage. i guess i have to get a dyno to get it tuned a little better. runs like a rapped ape but sucks down the gas lol.

Anything over 70 will cost you in mpg pulling a trailer.

Yea I think most of the problems with fuel millage after mods comes from the uncontrollable urge to twist the right hand more...and more often...Enjoy...:biggthumpup:

50+ MPG on the highway.  About 40 MPG on the back roads.  Just a stock 110 with a reflash and Vance & Hines pipes.
