Man, that guy would never ride anything of mine putting that saddlebag right onto the asphalt with nothing under it!  :o

I'm not too crazy about the new ones, have to get a better look if the come out with an Ultra. The new fairing just reminds me of that XQ 2000 martian guy from bugs bunny. I don't like how they hinged the glove box doors on the top either, stupid idea there. Glad I didn't wait for a new RG, but I did love my old '11!

Phantom, I'm with you on that.  Not only down on the asphalt, you can hear it hit the asphalt.  Thought I was the only one that noticed that.  Guess since it wasn't his, he wasn't worried about any damage.  Yep, he ain't be gonna ride my scooter no tyme soon......

I couldn't believe that! Usually you would be MORE careful with something that isn't your's, but not that guy. I was like ... did he just do that?? ... backed up the vid and saw it again. Stuff like that makes me cringe, I'm real fussy with my stuff and even more if someone trusts me with something that isn't mine. I'm so anal I don't even like touching any of my chrome latches without using my shirt over my finger and I use my fingernail for the touchscreen.

There is a picture on the roadglide forum of a CVO RG Ultra or Limited. It appears to be genuine, and appears to have lowers equipped with vents for the radiators and a water pump. Looks like a wethead CVO Road Glide will be introduced at the Dealer Show in a couple of weeks.

They looked pretty good in person. Im not sure about opening the "Inner Vents" while moving though.

All three vents are easy to open or close while moving.  There no buffetting with them open at speed, with them closed you get buffetting like the older road glides.

The video fails to point out the special has the same rear shocks as the CVO road glides did the last two years, the premium hand adjustable.

I finally got to see one and sit on it. I'm ok with the fairing. It looks smaller and the lines are sharper. Didn't geet to ride yet, but I will. One thing I did notice was that it was very easy to move from on the kickstand to upright. No effort required at all. My 09 takes quite a bit of effort.

lew, the fairing is smaller.  it's been cut down to just over 31'' wide, and its 2'' closer to the rider.  one other thing i noticed that i haven't seen mentioned yet, there is no more 'sticky gasket' between the inner and outer fairing  :bananarock:  and that piece of steel that goes between the 2 downtubes is not just a stamped piece of steel welded in there, its about 1/4'' thick all the way across.  i'd like to ride one, but haven't got the chance yet.

I hear ya on the martian guy. As mentioned before I kinda see Bender in the front look. Stoopid reason for me to post but I'm kinda likin' the Bender Glide the more I see it. Trade in would be a drag. I better call and see how much the blue RGU will cost me.

Yes, NO sticky black plastic trim strip on the '15s.

This is a constant issue on my '09 SERG.

I didn't get to sit on it, but did look at one last Saturday, not the CVO though.  I liked it, but not well enough to want to trade my '09 in for one.

I wonder if the new fairing would fit the 09?

No.    :nervous:  Completely different wiring and mounting.  While I am sure someone could do it, it might be cheaper to buy the new bike!
