Farewell, for now
« on: July 10, 2014, 06:13:25 PM »

Folks,

It's been a good run, and I'm super appreciative of all the advice received from the great people on this site.  I've just sold "Red," so it's farewell for now.  Gotta spend a little more time with the kids, get them off to college and out of the house.  If they're nice to me they will get at least one boom-a-rang trip back. Until then...

Ride safe everyone.

Brian,

I'm waaaaaay more older than you,  and have already done the (kids off to college scene)........and they since have graduated and have good jobs and (college graduate husbands) and now grandkids too.

So, as also a previous (Schwinn owner as a kid),  I predict like 'ol Arnold Schwarsnegger................"you'll be back" with another ride at some point." :cherry:

Sorry to hear. I'm about tapped out myself with one in college and twins starting their junior years in high school. One more major issue with my bike could do it. Take care.

I wouldn't trade my family for 10 CVO's. Fortunate to have both.

You can certainly keep hanging out with us.  We know you're a CVOer at heart.
I also have one in college,  another entering senior year of high school,  and two kids in their mid to late 20's that still need financial asistance now and then. So I guess I can sympathize with some of the challenges.

You only get one family. You can always get another scoot.

You don't have to give up this family either. Check in once and awhile.

Hang in there and keep active on this great forum.  Most of us "older" than you have gone through similar situations.  I had to give up BMW's and Harley's as my son's education took a priority back in the 1980's and instead rode cheap dirt bikes and second hand junk for a while.  But later, as I prospered more, I didn't forget to replenish my toybox again, and neither should you!    :P
