I use handlebar straps for the front and the saddle bag rails for the rear. Get the front wheel deep into the chalk. Easy pz

Make sure you use good ratchet straps.  I am paranoid when it comes to hauling a bike and not knowing what is going on in the trailer.  So much that I use 2 straps on each point just in case one comes loose. Always used a pingle wheel chock, not sure the doubles would be needed with a higher priced lock in chock.

I use a Condor chock

When the bike is in the trailer I use 5 straps.

2 webbing loops around the driving light brackets with two ratchet straps going forward and out.
2 ratchet straps from the passenger foot pegs out and slightly rearward.
1 ratchet strap around the rear wheel pulling directly rearward.

I would not use straps on the handlebars, but thats just me.

I pull the straps tight enough to compress the springs about 1"
I let the bike ride on it's suspension. Some here prefer to pull the bike down tight on a block of wood.

Take the EZpass out of the bike and leave it home - it will register in the trailer, as will your tow vehicle.

No harbor freight crap for straps (or chocks)

Straps will stretch after the first hour or so, after that they will have minimal stretch.

I have over 20K in my RV doing this and thousands more in the motorcycle trailer with so far - zero issues.
Although since I may not be a real biker - take it for what it is worth.

Check your tie down straps at each gas or restroom stop. I use 6 straps to tie down my bike, 4 pulling forward 2 pulling rearward. Bike will stay put.
Oh I also use an open tilt bed trailer.

All good information. Duane I don't have driving lights to attach to if I didn't use the handlebar straps I wouldn't know where to fasten it. I have used this method for about 5 different trips that covered a couple thousand miles and the bike has never budged.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that uses multiple straps. Condor chock would be a great investment too.

I use the Condor in the trailer.  Use at least 6 straps, and carry some extras as well.

Tie it down like Harley ships them.  One strap thru frame by engine guard going left and another going to the right.  These straps need to pull the bike forward, into the tire chock.  You'll need two straps in the rear pulling in opposite direction to keep the back end from moving.  I run these straps around a rear wheel spoke.  Also, I'd use padded straps or the padded slide-on strap covers.

I also use two sets of straps on the front just for piece of mind.  I installed a set of tie down brackets on my bike to aid in securing the front.  Pic attached from Kuraykan.

I also use the tie down brackets and double up on the straps. Straps on the passenger foot peg and the saddlebag support but not tight enough to bend them. Also around the back wheel pulling backwards as well. My theory is you can never be too safe!

Just a thought Jesse, handlebars with internal wiring are slotted at the bottom between the risers for the wring to exit. That makes for a weak spot.

On the Aluma or in the Haulmark I use the K&L wheelchocks. (they fit on either trailer)
Here is the link, http://www.klsupply.com/SHOPLIFTEQUIPMENT/KLMC10RUNIVERSALWHEELCLAMP.aspx

To strap down the bike I use 7 straps.
#1 is a HD ratchet strap that go around the chock and front wheel. That is probably the most important one.
#2 and #3 straps go around the forks each side just above the fender mount.
#4 and #5 straps go attach to the crash bar on each side just above the highway peg.
#6 and #7 straps go around the rear wheel to each rear corner on the trailer.
I also carry extra's just in case.

I don't use a wheel chock. I use a " U " channel angled at the front of the trailer.
I have 2 Pringle  chocks but I don't use them.
Old school.
