2012 FLTRXSE clutch spring??
« on: July 14, 2014, 09:07:28 PM »

I am trying to find out if the CVO clutch spring is already the SE heavy spring? The part # for the 2012 says it is from a police road king, but the dealer parts guy could not figure out the cross. I know I could take it out a measure it, but would like to know ahead of time. I am having a bit of slippage showing on the dyno and think I could get by with an SE spring if it is not already a stock item in the bike??

I was under the impression they were already.  Now I'm curious. Is your bike slipping a stock motor?

I have a heavier spring in my 12 sg.    If I remember the part number ends in a -98.  So it's an old part number.  AskTwolane rider on here,,  he's really good with part numbers.   It worked great for me.

I might have found it.    37951-98.  That should be it.     Stuart

It is not a stock engine. It is a simple Kury 24 cam set up at 10:1, stock TB, V&H power dual head pipe with Crusher mellows. Made 108hp/118tq. It pulls nice.

You basically have  the same set up I do.  I have a 58mm intake otherwise very similar.  Beefing up your clutch and the clutch spring should make a huge improvement.
