My SG has the decatted headers, V&H Monster Rounds and Super Tuner Dyno'd, 96.65hp 113.30tq

I cannot comment on the heat but just would like to say with the minor mods bike runs quite cool compared to what I have read and heard.
Before I had the Dyno tune the headers were discoloured badly around the exhaust port flange, dealer did an ordinary job on decatting the headers plus there were some pin holes in the welding after cats were removed and pipe re welded.

I was disapointed in the job and left it at that knowing I would either put another set of headers on or re weld the ones I have.
I decide to give it a go and cut the welded patch out and fabricatted a new patch to replace the old one, polished the blueing out making headers look like new again.

I felt alot better knowing headers are now free flowing, plus since re welding headers the blueing is very minimal and prooves that removing the cats certanly cools things down.

Here is an article I wrote on removing the CAT some time back.

Jesse glad all worked out for you after breaking down in Southern Indiana and to be so far from home would have realy topped it off.

The op already has V&H power duals for a headpipe which does pretty well.
