according to internet this will not fit FLHRSE4 (RK cvo 2008)

anyone know why ?
what will it take to get this to work ?

Here is what i found at HD homepage, looks like this speedo is standard in cvo 2014
That make me think that it must be possible to get this to work on RK CVO 2008
any thoughts?

you should call HD and find out.  If refers to FLHRSE3/4 with Speedo, but our FLHRSE3/4 have a combination speedo/tach.
I have an extra stock CVO speedo/tach from a 2008 FLHRSE4 if you're looking for that.  They are no longer available from HD.

Instrument fitment changed on all the touring models with implementation of the CAN bus on touring models.  So fitment to a 2014 touring should not be taken as interchange to earlier models.

Speedos for Road King will interchange from 2004-2013.  Across those years the parts will plug in and work.  There may be an indicator (ABS for example) that is present in some years and not in others that, therefore, won't work because no signal is sent to it or can't work because it's not present even if a signal is sent.  But the speedo, tach and idiot lights that are present will work across those years.
