Is there an aftermarket head unit that works with the CVO system?

Thinking about upgrading my head unit since the display is fading. Like having the I-pod in the bag though. Is there anything out there that works, or should I just have Iron Cross Audio fix me up.

I just changed out my head unit and put in a Alpine. I also changed out the amp and speakers. If you change out the head unit I think you will have to change the speakers also as the OEM speakers are 1 ohm. You can run a USB cable to the bag to keep the iPod. I just took my out as I use Pandora.

Just grabbed a Sony marine unit, yet to install tho. It will fill out the rest of the kit I picked up from Pete @ Soundz Customz.
Has all the harnesses to retain use of stock handlebar controls, iPod in bag etc..

There are many alternatives.  Jensen makes a direct plug and play radio.  Other aftermarket radios can be made to work with mount and interface kits.  All such kits or retrofits will, however, lose everything that is attached to the overlay harness.  So things like CB, intercom, iPod in the saddlebag as you're using it now and a few other functions aren't replicated if you use aftermarket audio.  Only way to keep it all working is sending your radio to Iron Cross.
