Yo spy,
You think he would have noticed it quite so easy if I had the end cap??

I put that chrome solenoid cover on mine and think I may actually go back to the black one. [smiley=shocked2.gif]  The chrome one actually draws more attention to the fact that the rest of the starter is not chrome :'( than if it was all black, IMO.

Can't be sure, you know he's got a sharp eye like D00d when it comes to these chrome details.  :o har!  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] spyder

H'mmm you see a fancy chrome starter. .....

I see another part that is impossible to clean without removing.

Of course, that is minor, compared to this glaring hole in the sea of chrome!  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Actually, the starter is on the list, but I'm saving up for the king tour pack, my dealer is having a 20% day coming up in February.

Always an alterior motive.  I'd go King tour before starter too if I had to make a choice.

If I was going to go with a painted lid, it would be like the one I had on my old ultra.....matching the bike's color with a chrome centerpiece.  Like this:
