:2vrolijk_21:  TLR, that really is looking very good.  I have been away from the site for some time except for quick peeks so had no idea how much I had missed, but am glad to see the direction you are going here.  Not that I am sorry that I was lucky enough to pick up your extra painted air cleaner.  It is finally on the bike with some pretty chrome back up parts around it.  It looks fantastic.  Sounds a little lower than the standard part or perhaps the chrome surround parts changed the tone a little.  Not bad, just a little lower growl coming from the bike now.  Thanks for the opportunity to share in this thread.

That looks great Candy.  Glad you guys are putting it to such good use.  I always thought that cover looked realy good set against our gas tank.  Would still be using were it not for the change of the appearance of the motor behind it.  But that changed everything!

Looks great.  Congrats on getting it on there!  Can't wait to see it in person.

Thanks HB.  I'm hoping that this Sunday I'll finally get a chance to finish polishing the new center.  Every time in the last 10 days I've thought I might something else came up.  Soon though, very soon  :drink: .

Thanks John.  Appreciate the hell out of that.  Getting the bike back out this spring some has reminded me a bit of just what was gained there last winter too.

When you're around your own all the time you do kind of get used to it.  So mine has been together in front of me for a bit now.  But this spring it's been out in front of other people.  Folks do tend to like it in person too.  That's been nice to hear.

After all the back-and-forth that went in to making up my mind on this little task I'm finally pretty satisfied on what was the end result.  The SERK style cover's grooves line up perfectly with the cylinder fins, the cover is small enough that it displays the motor like I want but it's large enough to mostly hide the air cleaner mounting hardware.  The one-off center piece for the housing turned out real well too.

Didn't realize until seeing it in the photos that I need to polish on it a little more.  Might even chrome it someday.  But it's not too bad  :2vrolijk_21: .

Hey Neal, probably won't be able to make that 'big' run, but the Hot Springs ride will be good if something doesn't materialize sooner.  :huepfenjump3: har!  spyder

Thank you Spyder.  Really looking forward to getting to see (and you getting to see the bike  :huepfenlol2: ) in Hot Springs.  Getting closer and closer.

Hey SpiderMan, the way you ride (long distance rider), there's always a good chance we'll pop up in the same locale and get another chance to share some time together......It was a brief time and too many site members to be able to get to know everyone at MV, but, I'm counting on some more of those GTG in the up-coming months.  Doubtful that I'll make Nelson in  July though.  Ya'll will have a blast and I can live it vicariously thru your posts/pics  here.  :2vrolijk_21: har!  spyder
