Is there any indication as to what is causing them to crack?
I've tried different batches. Never gotten a straight answer.

They have never offered, or provided any subsequent reports after the tire was "supposedly" returned for study.

I just keep monitoring them closely to make sure I still have 3/32 left if there are ANY small indications it's happening.  This last time they said the labor might not be covered as my original warranty had expired.  In the end, the service gal was very helpful and materials and labor were covered.  :2vrolijk_21:

While I don't mind free tires, I'd sure like them to determine the cause and fix it so I don't have to worry when I'm on an extended trip.   I did get one tire replaced out in California last summer, but I was still under the original 24 month warranty then.

If this continues and I have to start paying for them, I may decide to go with either an 18" or a 21" front wheel so I can have other options on the tire.

I'm not sure if Dunlop is having the same problem with the American Elite series, but you could always try one of them on the front since they now have your size (130/60B19 61H).  Probably worth a shot before dropping a bunch of change for a new wheel. :nixweiss:

Thanks.  If at some point they decide they won't provide a warranty replacement, then I'll give that one a try.  :2vrolijk_21:

I just wish Avon would make a 19 inch replacement to fit our front tires.
I ran Avon for 14 years prior to this CVO.
