What I got for Christmas was the love of my family. Not that I didn't have it anyway, but every so often it's nice to have it reaffirmed.

What I got for Christmas was a very special PM from JR that added to the respect I have for our brother of faith.

What I got for Christmas came early this year in the form of the new friends I made in Maggie Valley and some I have still yet to meet.

What I got for Christmas was being able to live up to my words in promising friends I'd be there for them as I spent countless hours being there for two dear friends battling cancer.

What I got for Christmas was the gift of life, the greatest of all God's gifts and I am thankful for every day I walk among my family, my friends and all of God's creatures.

Since it's a toy dog, how does it get in there? Now that is the scary part. [smiley=nervous.gif] Imagine some young child that has never had a real dog before getting this and learning that if it comes out it can go back in. :o [smiley=vrolijk27.gif]

Thanks BB, and JR for some of the same gifts.  Me and my hubby have enjoyed the heck out of the last three days, relaxing, riding a bit, eating ==== way to much and way to good ------ talking on the phone to friends and relatives, but just being alive and enjoying life together.  One more day off work before the three day work left this week, and then we got a short week next week too.  When we were 20 years younger we never appreciated these little reprieves, but boy have we enjoyed the heck out of them the last couple of years.  Thanks for sharing your lives with ours.  We sure have had and keep having fun with that.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I don't want to sound like George Bailey, but I got the realization that I am the luckiest man in the world.
I have a great wife, and two very smart and loving sons. I have friends that are closer than family. I have my health.

Although I only ski about once or twice a year, I got ski boots from my wife this year. They fit better than anything I have rented.

Speaking of fitting, I got myself another Bates Leather jacket. I've had my Bates Highwayman since 1991, and decided to another get another one just for hot weather. At first I was going to get the FoxCreek preforated jacket, but went with a Bates SuperVent with added zipper vents in the arms. I got it in chocolate brown. It comes with armor in the shoulders and elbows, and a lined inside pocket. I went in several months ago and had them measure me sitting on my bike. Then I went back in a week ago and had a fitting while sitting on the bike. They do great work, the fit is,.... well just what I expected for something that is tailor made. Although I got it made for hot weather with all the vents, they made it to fit over my heated vest, so it can be worn year 'round.

Sorry for the lousy pics, but I was in a hurry.

I just picked up my 7 year old granddaughter who bravely flew by herself from San Diego to Colorado to be with my wife and I for Christmas and this week. I also got to spend Christmas with my brother who I hadn't seen and barely spoken to in the past 2 years and can't remember the last Christmas I spent with him. I took money I was saving to spend on myself and instead bought my wife a beautiful Christmas gift that made both of us feel great. Life is good. It's the best Christmas I can remember.

This was a joyous Christmas in our house.  My daughter came up from North Carolina with our new grand daughter.  The season is about family and sharing the love.   We spent most of the day on the phone talking to relatives in Minnesota and Arizona.  That's what it's all about, the greatest gift of all; family and friends.

As I posted earlier, I received a lot of wonderful material things for Christmas and will enjoy each and every one of them.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  Thanks Honey.   :-*

The most special gifts are my beautiful relationship with Terry  :-*, my darling daughter, son-in-law and granddogs in Tampa, and my sister and her family (they're on their way from East Tennessee for our Christmas party today).   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]   Those gifts keep on giving, and I am truly blessed.   :)

Life is good.   :)
