Not for the first 5 or 6 hundred miles it wasn't. I think mostly the discomfort was me getting use to pegs instead of floorboards. Plus the pegs were a soft rubber that held your foot from moving around. Riding at first I couldn't get comfortable going to the peg. It felt awkward not being on a floorboard. By the time I was headed home it was starting to feel a little more natural. After riding Electra Glides for 26 years pegs do feel a little strange.
Around town was no different than being on the Harley's. At least until I needed reverse. I'm telling you, reverse on a bike is the best thing ever.

I keep thinking about adding that to my 11.5. You can do that ya' know.  I know it surely would make life a little easier sometimes - especially on the wife who on occasion has had to grab the tourpak rack and pull ---

"At least until I needed reverse. I'm telling you, reverse on a bike is the best thing ever."

Amen to that,  it's a semi-crime to me that Harley builds any tour model bike that weighs 700 pounds plus.......many over 800+ and no reverse gear available and "optional" as I recall on the Trike.  ::)

A bike with that kind of weight and the price associated with a tour model or especially the extra cost of a CVO/SE.....REVERSE GEAR SHOULD BE STANDARD EQUIPMENT.

As I rode the Wing I realized something was missing. (well besides that V Twin rumble)
The inner fairing was like a stock Harley dresser, flat charcoal black.
Time for a little love for the wing!
I think it turned out great.

My impressions  :P

1).  It's BLUE

2).  It looks brand new!  Someone took great care of it.

3.   It looks very comfortable and

4.   It has a reverse.  Now after using it you know why my Harley has one!

5.   It's BLUE

I think it's awesome that you are giving it a try Chip.  It's not a Harley but like you said, if you want a Harley you have plenty of those.   Have fun, enjoy it and if you like it keep it, if not you shouldn't have any trouble selling it.

My impressions  :P

1).  It's BLUE Of course it's Blue and since your a girl your bike looks nice also.  ;D

2).  It looks brand new!  Someone took great care of it. Judy, Judy please don't believe it was even close to this clean when I got it. You know me, what can shine will shine!

3.   It looks very comfortable and   It is!

4.   It has a reverse.  Now after using it you know why my Harley has one!  I agree 100%, every touring bike should have one.

5.   It's BLUE  As you know, that Renay is one smart blue bike rider.

I think it's awesome that you are giving it a try Chip.  It's not a Harley but like you said, if you want a Harley you have plenty of those.   Have fun, enjoy it and if you like it keep it, if not you shouldn't have any trouble selling it.

My response to your impressions above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.
It's funny, riding the Harley's I wave at all other bikes (except scooters holding up traffic) and they all wave back. Riding the Wing only about 1/2 of the Harley riders wave back.
Next time you are in the Valley you can take it for a ride. I left the SERG in the Valley during the summer but I'm thinking I might leave the Wing next spring.
Thanks for the compliments, you don't have to say it but me and Renay know your next bike will be a blue one. Soon you will see the light and it will be blue.

Looks great Chip, Randy is having my inner fairing painted to match my bike, it's in the shop now, he also sent my stereo/CD player out to be fixed also, nice Christmas present in my eyes...can't wait to see the difference in my ride.   :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:
