I Pod interface issue
« on: August 06, 2014, 01:01:53 AM »

Hello to all 2012 FLHTCUSE7 owners, on my recent trip to Colorado our CVO ran flawlessly at elevation's all the way up to 14,130', we did encounter a problem on our last day of riding, up to then the I-Pod was fine, then for some strange reason, the last morning the I-Pod would not Sync !! The display on the radio would say something like "IPOD not Syncing" !!! Has anyone else had that problem and found a solution to fix that problem ? I appreciate any advice, thanks !! JB

when my ipod started showing this same error, it turned out to be a bad cable.  this was from the p&a ipod controller that didn't have the extension leading to the rear saddle bag, just the cable from the back of the unit, to the right storage compartment (i had a road glide so i didn't need the extension).  to replace that cable cost me $80  :o  hopefully, you can check a few other things out and it won't be the cable.

When mine did the same thing on on my 2012 they had to replace the entire cable.
No prob though, def covered under warranty.
Take it to the shop and have them get you squared away.

Great news, I Pod working fine, again !!! Recently washed my CVO, disconnected the saddlebags to remove for cleaning, reconnected the cables and the I-Pod now works as normal, root cause, bad cable connection !! Sure glad it wasn't the " I-Pod Harness", $136.00 from the Dealer !!! Thanks again to all fellow forum members that offered a solution !!! All the Best !!! Safe Riding !!! JB
