14 saddlebag part number
« on: August 07, 2014, 05:55:46 PM »

Anyone know the part number for the 14 cvo RK saddlebag?  I called my local dealer but the dumb chits chouldn't give me a part number unless i knew what color it was.  Apparently Gray and Black are not the colors of my bike and the idiots couldn't narrow it down when i told them it was not the green one or the orange one.

thanks

What are you looking for, the entire assembly or just certain pieces?  (They are only listed as individual parts, not an entire assembly, in the resource I have access to.)  Oh, and btw, you don't have grey and black, you have titanium dust and galactic black.  Obviously the under qualified folks at your dealership don't know what titanium dust is.

Let me know what parts you are looking for, lids/bottoms/right/left/whatever, and I'll try to look it up for you.  Or just go over to the dealership and tell them to let you look the stuff up yourself.  It's in the parts catalog if they know where to look and what to look for.

Thanks Jerry.  It's part 21.  The saddlebag lower on the left side.

OK, that should be part number 90200775DUG  S/B BOT LH, TITNM DUST/GLCTC BLK, MSRP $1050.  Check the various online discount dealers and you should be able to cut around $150 off that price after shipping, if your local dealer won't dicker on the inflated price.

HI Jake and Jerry,

I came across your post and was extremely interested in this discussion. I am a new owner of a 2014 CVO road king in titanium dust / galactic black. I love the bike, but discovered a very very small "dent" on the bottom of the left side bag only slightly visible right above the tip of the muffler. I don't remember backing into anything, any rocks hitting it or any other accident. The paint is not broken. It's just a very small dent. I also called Harley looking for a part number to replace the bag after spending so much on the bike and they had no idea what I was talking about and couldn't find the part. So thank you for the part number! But Jake, I was also wondering why are you replacing your bag? Is it a similar mark you found? Or something else? Could this be a defect in the paint? Thx guys. -Chris (Ohio)

Could be a small flaw in either the paint or the bag itself.  Since it is barely visible, I'm not so sure I'd even mess with it.  Harley is unlikely to replace the bag for this kind of defect under warranty, and it sure doesn't sound like it's worth a thousand dollars of your money to replace.  But of course that decision is yours, not mine.  If it bothers you, definitely bring it to the dealerships attention and have them contact H-D for approval to replace the bag.

That's good advice Jerry. Thank you. It's a bit difficult when these bikes are so much money and then you find something wrong, even if it's minor. Ill give it some thought. Thanks again!
