I have my VOX turned off but when i stop the radio  sound decreases any Ideas?    I mean it goes way down in volume.

Check you Automatic volume control (AVC) to see where it is set. The fewer bars you have showing the lower the volume will go when you slow down or stop.

yes thats what i was trying to say.   The automatic volume control it turned off and it still changes the volume
