Ah, the Loveless Cafe. Wonderful place. Come hungry and be prepared to wait - it is worth a visit.

Yes Loveless is a bit of a tourist trap but good food.  We never eat there, just meeting point for Nachez Trace rides as it sits right at the northern end.

Loveless is worth the wait!
 :2vrolijk_21:

Another favorite is Puckett's.  Resonable prices, live music at night, and GREAT food!  Save room for the cobbler?

Another that I haven's been to in a while is The Patterson House.

Wendell Smith's was our favorite breakfast spot when we lived in West Nashville. Haven't been there in a few years.

The other places are all good choices. Be prepared to wait at the Pancake Pantry unless you get there early(before they open). There's usually a pretty long line outside to get in once they get going.

Got to eat at the Pancake Pantry, got there at 8am Sun walked straight in came out after breakfast - best pancakes & french toast ever - to a line out to 21st and down the street. Would have been worth the wait. Went to Pucketts Sat morn, 1 - 1 1/2 hr wait, opted out but prob should have waited.

You spent approx $25 each to eat breakfast at the Loveless?  I'm curious to know what you ordered? I've eaten there before and don't recall their menu prices to be out-of-line.  I'm not defending the Loveless, but waiting 20 min for a table at a popular place doesn't seem unreasonable.  A restrauant has no control over the number of customers showing up...sometimes you have to wait or choose to go elsewhere.

I'm a big eater, but usually around 15 bucks. We both had 3 eggs, grits, biscuits and a double order of country ham. Was great food, but same thing at Wendell Smiths was $31 and they added fresh sliced tomatoes. Not saying don't go, just that you can go cheaper.

Was a little disappointed in the Trace. Nice long sweepers & very little traffic. I guess I'm a little spoiled. Don't take this wrong, if I lived near I would ride it 2-3 times a month!!

The Dragon it is not but the Trace has its own charm. I find it very relaxing and enjoyable. Laid back and serene. If you're looking for an adrenaline rush the Trace ain't it.
