I only had the CVO for a few weeks and its already needed a flatbed home...I have read lots of issues and concerns and I am living it. I just had Vance and Hines high outputs, power dual head-pipe, and PV1 with a map from Dynojet, it has 18,000kms and was running great...had 3 different mechanics check it out and they all said everything seemed great..enjoy. I've put some miles on it since the stage 1 and all was good. Well on my way home today I hit the throttle and the bike seemed like it missed and big gulp of air then started to sputter I drove approx 10 miles to a Harley dealership it ran but was starting to make some engine noise, and when I was getting close with the clutch in it didn't seem to want to rev up or barley, then when I finally shut it down it would not turn over, its at the dealer now and they will diagnose it, but looking forward to opinions from the real experts 'you guys'...I love the bike but with all I've read, it's in the shop and I'm already nervous...my softail has never let me down

And so it begins. Doesn't sound good. Sounds like a bent valve or worse. Let us know. Mine gave way at 18,000 miles. I have 3,000 since. Good luck.

Sorry to hear this...  Hope for the best and plan for the worst. Let the dealer diagnose and give you a report. Do you still have a warranty? If so I would seriously think about getting an extended warranty now (9 times out of ten) it will pay for itself.

Kick back and wait for the dealers diagnoses.

no warranty , and  very good advise thanks  , i wish warranty was in play , i really think i should get extended warranty on this bike
If you don't have a warranty (ran out) I doubt seriously if you can get one, my experience has been you need to get an extended warranty before your factory warranty ends.
Be prepared in spending some coin, this certainly is a great place for suggestions of a good build if it comes down to that.

Sounds like it ate a lifter, they all do that (HD quote, not mine). Several incidents of lifter failure from 3000klm up with a lot in the 20- 30klm range.
Sorry for your bad luck. Don't let anyone  put the stock "C" lifters back in , use S&S or GMR. Buffalo
