Newbies First Real Ride
« on: August 24, 2014, 04:32:12 PM »

250 miles is way more than I thought I'd of been able to do the second time out ?
and in 4 hours, with a few stops

think I did OK ?
that was once
Knot Head and Dan slowed down in the curves a little to let me catch up helped!

considering this heat it wasn't to bad riding where we did.

Trans Am and the Miss's joined in and the the 4 of us had a great ride
nice bikes you guys

will see if Knot Head post some of the pics that he was taking,
while we rode, no hands on the bike, 70 and going thru the turns!
how does one do that!

Seems like you were having fun. 250 miles your second time out is a good start. One day you will look back and say that was but a mere putt. The more you ride the more you want to ride, and that is how you build up to 500,600, 700, or more miles a day. Enjoy!

Freak! I'm sore!
feels like someone had my Thighs in a vise all night!
thinking I need a taller bike!
do they make 35" for these and then I can use another set of handle bars mounted upside down as forward pegs!

yes, I know there is always one like Trans Am's out there for me,
damn that thing must of cost as much as my Platinum Truck! and rides as nice to!

250s good for your first ride out. You don't want to tier your self out, that's how one loses concentration and can get into trouble. Just a little food for thought

Nice looking ride you got there :2vrolijk_21:

I kind of knew what ya meant Knot Head,
but being 6' - 3" it's going to be tuff to find a ride that fits me like
yours fits you,
and which I'm sure makes it easier for taking those corners like you do!

but for now, I've ordered some new mini boards that will allow the feet to rest easier and a little more forward
and looking at some other options to help.
I'm sure the more I ride the body will get use to it also.
literally just rode for about 50 minutes and 35 miles before

with this bike being like only the second year for the CVO's this one will be fun to play with and make the little repairs and keep!
and if I really want to get out and cruise 500 plus miles a day when I have the time and money,
then I'll look and a all Chrome Plated Limited!  :huepfenjump3:

Good for you Bromebe - glad your enjoying the ride! There's plenty of things you can do to modify the bike for your frame/riding style... Let the mods begin!
