Hello From Bama
« on: September 03, 2014, 04:38:24 AM »

Bought a 04 CVO Electra Glide (13000 miles) last week from a local dealer . Wish I had found this forum before I bought it.  The bike vibrates really bad at idle but not too bad at  higher revs.  They told me it was normal for that bike (BS).  My Wideglide rode better than this. This is my first touring bike and 4th Harley.  I expected a better ride than this for what was suppose to be a top of the line bike. This afternoon the speedometer and tach went out.

Time to get out the Vaseoline and try to get my money back.  Congratulations on a great forum.

Welcome to the CVO Site from  :pepper:CAJUN COUNTRY    :pepper: ... :jalapeno:  South Louisiana. :jalapeno:

I have an 04 with the 103. Vibrate at idle, hell yeah... Did the Dyna come with a B engine? Maybe that's what you used to and not the standard HD issue engine...

Welcome to the forum from Maine Dynasport! Sounds like you definitely need to get back to the dealer to express your views on the recent purchase. As stated previously, it's doubtful checking the forum archives would have helped much, but it's a font of useful information for many issues with informed and talented individuals responding. Best of luck with the SEEG...

Welcome to the Site from The Redneck Riviera!

The '05 SEEG always had vibration at idle (especially when the Harley front motor mount was fresh), switching to the GlidePro Bushings / Front Mount smoothed it out at all RPMs
