GPS Voice Commands with Bluetooth
« on: September 03, 2014, 04:38:01 PM »

Has any one been able to use a sena SR10 wired to the headset jack to be able to pass voice commands to the GPS from a sena SMH10. It looks like the SR10 recives the the bluetooth signal from the headset and sends out analog audio to the radio side.

So my thinking is i can wire audio out of SR10 to Mike in + and - on headset jack push the voice command button for GPS speak into SMH10 it should pass to SR10 and then into Infotainment system if this all works i would mount the SR10 in the fairing.

Has anyone tried this or have thoughts or suggestions

I just purchased a '15 FLHXSE, in Phoenix and rode it 2,000 miles home :bananarock:. I was thinking of doing the same thing you described since the HD Boom radio will not pair with the SMH10h. Did you give it a shot?  How'd it work out?

I have not tried it yet. But have been told it does work. There is a big thread about it on
http://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-rushmore-models-177/ site  also a guy that is selling 2 different cables to use with SR 10 one plugs into the headset jack or if you want to hide the sr10 he has a cable that plugs into the harness in the fairing. Plans are there to build your own cables. Also some talk about Sena coming out with a new unit for the  bikes  I am kinda sitting back to see how it plays out.
Good luck let me know how it works if you give it a try
