2015 CVO Street Glide Colors and CVO History
« on: September 05, 2014, 08:41:21 PM »

There has been a lot of debate about CVO pricing, is it worth the close to 40k price, and the current 4 color choices, such as what are your top 2 colors you would select for the '15 CVO SG.

So, would you buy a CVO '15 SG.
What are your top 2 color choices?
Do you think this CVO SG will be a tough sell, aka there are 14 CVO RGs in several local dealerships marked down.; will the same fate occur with the '15 CVO SG.
How loud will the sound be-600 watts-has anyone heard it cranked?

Rode the Chieftain and Roadmaster at Sturgis; pros and cons, but I would stay with a Harley SG and Ultra Ltd over the Indians for now. Thoughts.

So, would you buy a CVO '15 SG.
1. Yes, down payment made last week.

What are your top 2 color choices?
2. Black and Hard Candy... waiting to see a black one, but down payment is on black.. BC i love black..

Do you think this CVO SG will be a tough sell, aka there are 14 CVO RGs in several local dealerships marked down.; will the same fate occur with the '15 CVO SG.
3. No they are sold before they are on the floor, I have talked to dealers around York Pa (within 4 hours) and prices range from MSRP to 3K over MSRP.

How loud will the sound be-600 watts-has anyone heard it cranked?
4. I have a 500 watt (125 per channel) on my 2010 FLHX and it sounds good, I can hear it above my Bub7s on the HWY.

For me, the jury is still out on the 14's & 15's... Not a fan of the wet heads or the infotainment center at all!

Did they over produce the 14's, or am I not alone in my thinking?  :nixweiss:
Possibly they will be many 15's sitting on showroom floors next fall as well... Time will tell.

Call me old school, but I would much rather have a '12 if I was going for the SG or a '09 if I was to go for a RG.  Having said that and being a EG guy, I'm still in love with my '08 Duracell.  :2vrolijk_21:

I was thinking of putting my '05 up for sale, but started to ride it more this season, and fell in love again!

Would I buy a 2015 CVO Street Glide?.........No, I just can't justify paying more for something that has less. Ya they've got water cooled heads but so what, look at all the things that aren't there for the money........THEY CAN KEEP 'EM!! Congratulations to anyone that purchases one though!!

Would I buy one?  Absof$%*inlutely, Just Did Right Now!

The two colors that are sold out at every dealer for a 100mi radius of me are the;
HARD CANDY MERCURY / SMOKY QUARTZ FLAMES
STARFIRE BLACK / GOLD DUST FLAMES

They will have no problem with these two colors, they are sold before they hit the floor

Nope.......not sold on the water heads ether. Also the colors are just not for me....I went nuts to get my black crimson just because of the lay out of the black and red.

There's always exuberance every time a new model year is introduced, so the initial wave flocks to a dealer with their deposit, causing a momentary lapse in availability.  Let's see what the supply/demand looks like a few months into calendar yr 15.  I imagine it'll be easy to find the color you want at MSRP.  If buying a 15 SESG, the only color (based on pics) that interests me is the silver hard candy.

Don't know about other countries but what ever comes north of the boarder is already sold. My experience watching the 2010, 2011 and 2012 CVO SG there gone.

Bought my '12 in May of '12...Steve Drane had gotten it from an 'eastern'  dealer that wasn't able to sell it. As soon as it was uncrated I happened to show up and worked a deal.
