Press the center of the lense with your finger. There may be also similar lights under your tour pack (above your saddle bags) for lighting the inside of your bags.

Yup, also I find those light can be a bit of a pain to operate. I have to hit the sweet spot to turn them on or off.

Easy to think you turned it off when not completlely dark outside. Leave the bike sitting for a couple of days and you will double check from then on.

:confused5:    I thought the late model Mickey Mouse light was supposed to time out and turn off automatically.  Did they eliminate that feature?

I much preferred the light provided by the old style automatic light with a traditional bulb and a gravity switch, but unfortunately back in 2005 they forgot how to build them so the switch didn't stick, which tended to kill batteries.  The answer was the little LED light that you have to push on the lens to turn on, and that doesn't provide anywhere near the light output of the old style.  I had the new style installed by H-D under warranty when the original and one replacement kept killing the battery, and I quickly wished I had just kept the old one I had rigged up with a plunger switch in place of the sticky gravity switch.

According to my owners manual, they do shut off. But I believe I've read that you then have to reset them somehow. I keep forgetting they're on there and hardly use them.
