over 6K for CVO west
over 2K for CVO east
and almost 1K going out to dinner with WFP and Mrs WFP

This discussion sparks an interesting cord for me [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif].  What's interesting to me when I think about the summer of 2006 vs. summer of 2005 is this: In 2005, I played 60 rounds of golf, logged 3000km on my bike, and spent little time with my wife.  In 2006, I played 5 rounds of golf, logged 39,500km on my bike, and spent a great deal of time with my wife.  2006 was a great year because time on my bike means time with my wife [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif].  I also met a lot of great people throughout the summer and met some people that will be lifelong friends (some on this site!).

OK, that's enough sharing for today :'(  Hope you all have a great Christmas and don't forget to book your holidays for the Nelson rally next summer!

Kerry,

For some of our American Friends who have not converted to Metric those 39,500 km equates to apprx. 23,700 miles.

That is 6,000 more miles (17,000) than I did in 2006.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Yera,

Canuck, 23,700 is a great amount of time on your bike. I hope to log a few more in the coming year. My wife used to spend time with me on the back of my bike, but since she got her on bike it is hard to get her back on mine. She rides more than I do since she can ride to work and my business does not allow this.Hope to see you in Nelson.

I did about 15,000 miles total on 4 bikes.  Picked up a bike in New York and rode it home, picked up another one in Kansas City and rode that home and put a lot of miles on my old '03 FLHTCUI.  I didn't put very many on the K1200S though.

Have to agree with Canuck, seems the more miles I ride, the more time that's spent with the wife.

Rode about 22,000 miles on the 06 Autum Haze, 5,500 miles on the Red Jester and about 3,000 on my 03 ultra.

That would be about 30,000 miles total for 2006.

5 years ago thought that would be nuts, but have had a great time, saw lots of beautiful landscape and I do love to ride.

Merry Christmas
