Looking good! I wonder if there is any advantage to the x-pipe vs. removing the cat from the stock headpipe??? On my last bike (12 FLHX) I cut the stock headpipe open, emoved the cat, welded it back up and painted it black. Got rid of a lot of heat. But, the stock chamber is fairly large and I always wondered if exhaust velocity slowed at the chamber due to shape/size. Any thoughts?
BTW, I used 2.25 inch fullsac baffles in stock CVO cans for that bike. It sounded great...nice rumble but not too loud to tour. I am probably going with the same baffles on my CVO. But I am going to talk with fullsac before making the final decision.
For what it's worth...I ran a fuelpak for a while with the above set up. I then went to the Harley Race Tuner and loaded the provided map for my bike/configuration. It was night and day difference in performance. The bike would pull away from a friend with the same setup (103, decat, fullsac baffles, fuelpak) even when I was riding two-up and he was solo. Prior to the change to the race tuner our bikes ran about the same. The race tuner isn't cheap but for $350 from an online dealer it changed the bike performance dramatically.
