looks great.  nothing better than a large garage for all the stuff.  Question, what are you planning on doing for the floor.  I went with a commercial grade poly-something and it has held up great.

In my case the barn/shop was already built.  I did the electrical and since it has a 16 foot ceiling it had 2 large vertical beams that I was able to mount a swingarm with a wench that comes in handy when you need an extra hand.  I used the other beam to drop some dedicated outlets in 110 & 220 volts, I also installed the air drop with a regulator to control the air pressure.   I think Dan nailed as the floor space disappears quickly so wall mounted items need to be planned prior to installation.  It takes a lot of realistate once you put in your lift, jack and tool boxes.  I converted the horse stalls which were adjacent to the garage section and made it into a large spay booth, office and yes a bathroom.  Your shop looks good and with the help from your brothers & sisters on this site how can you go wrong.

Nice project

T,

I plan on putting down an Epoxy Coating with Paint flakes to give it that marble look.  I have also had a decal printed to install at the front entrance of the shop.  Tried finding one of these in a large scale but had no luck.  One day I happened to notice the SE emblem on my bike and thought that would be a great emblem to have blown up and make a decal out of it.  Well that's what I did,  it is 5' wide, and it really looks great,  can't wait to put it down on the floor and clear over it,  but got some walls and ceiling to take care of before I get to the floor.  I have added a picture of the decal I had made.  The decal has a impressive 3D effect.  It looks like it's 3 inches deep in places.

I took 5/8" T-111 treated plywood and cut the sheets in half to make a 48" tall wainscoting. Then used 5/8" sheet rock from the wainscoting to the ceiling. Chair rail and base trim is just a simple 1x4.
1" pex lines with 3/4" drops for the air lines with a regulator and filter at each drop. Connection from air compressor to 1"pex is a flexible hydraulic hose to reduce vibration.

You can never have enough lighting and receptacles. Just when you think you have enough you would wish you added more.

Half bath if you can. Remember you can pump it if you don't have the fall. Sometimes it is easier to pump. Mine has been that way for 14 years.

Real nice shop.
My plan is to have a 30x50 built next spring if everything goes right.
Can't seem to get a cement contractor to give an estimate or even an idea of how much it would cost for a 40'x80'x4" pad.
I'm going to pipe in air, water, a full bathroom and a couple of drains in the floor with a high enough roof for a finished second floor.

we got a 30x40 I did a big job on about 5 years ago, while on the electrical I wired in everything for A/C furnace thermostat, radient heaters, three phase phase converter, electric water heater, cieling fans, lots of 220, I tried to think of every thing to make my life easier as it grows, I still dont have the A/C or furnace in that one or the water heater but because I was covering the walls with metal I wanted all the wire I could think of in there so now adding these things is easy the wires are there where they all need be. we just built a 42x62 building and I'm doing a similar deal to it, the breakers and wireing is in for cieling fans ac furnace, water heater, 100-50-30 amp 220, rv plug for both 30 and 50 amp, garage door openers both buildings the wire is in and hot, makes it easier later. of course theres nothing wrong with running it exposed later, just the way I kinda got that part over with, also put conduit from the house to both buildings thru the slabs for tv computer wires etc and water 4' deep from the house thru the slabs to both buildings. dont forget 30-50 anp rv plugs and 110 plugs outside.

Finally got the attic floored,  insulation and ceiling finally up and painted.

Hope to get the ceiling fan and lights installed this weekend.
