Has anyone changed out the stock CVO speakers (lowers & lids) on a CVO RK?

What set-up? Did the amp have to change? What about the hand controls.

Input/suggestions appreciated

Did a completed customization on a 2013 CVO Road King I'm about to begin on stereo and I can say yes, the 1 ohm 200 watt amp will need to change. And the speakers will also... You can use other lids on the market they would just need to be painted or use your stock OEM lids and modify the speaker housings..

I removed ALL CVO tins and seats, (which I'm looking for a 2 piece. CVO seat), sold set complete kept my dash nacelle cap, etc.... I did this at 1583 miles...

I'll keep you in the loop on how I, doing the iPod interface amp change and still using my hand controls speaker wiring, etc..

I went with Pete at Soundz Customz Stage 4 set-up. All plug & play and took all of 30 minutes for the install.
