WTF!  Just stick the air hose on it and put air in it! :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

it's a lot easier and more convenient with the extension.

Yea I have seen them on Kurvygirl.com also. When new tire time comes if there is any way possible I will have them installed. The front wheel is no biggie, but the back wheel is a bear. If kurveygirl.com wants $30. HD will want at least double.CAHDBIKER

These seem to be the same stems sold on kurveygirl.com.  It even looks like the same logo on the side.  Kurveygirl has a fitment page for correct size (8.3 mm vs 11.3 mm).  A set is about $30, so who knows what the MoCo price is...

MSRP is $11.96 each from Harley as a replacement part in the catalog.  If they were selling them in nice shrink wrapped packaging hanging from a display board, I assume that price would double or triple.

found it.  in the my2015 tech forum, it states that the new valve stems are not able to be used on other models, or older models.

:nixweiss: wonder what has changed?  Thought the hole in a rim is a standard size!   :nixweiss:

There are only two standard sizes in the industry, and pretty much all cast wheels use one size.  You can buy 90° valves in the aftermarket for all makes and models, so unless H-D decided to have someone design a unique valve just for them, I call BS on that statement in the 2015 literature.

Agreed!  Have a hard time believing that HD has a non standard valve stem hole.  What a can or worms that would open.

looking at the picture, it looks like there is some type of bung cast into it.  maybe that has something to do with it?

That elevated area cast into the rim is probably hollow and just serves to elevate the valve above the surface of the wheel for better access.  The same thing could have been achieved with a valve design that sits up a little higher before it makes the bend, like the stuff already available in the aftermarket.

Notice they didn't say anything about having to use ONLY the Harley valve on those 2015 rims.
