THE BRUTE III EXTREME internal dry belt and clutch

Any one using this setup in there CVO's and what do you think?

I had a Brute 2 years ago in a 101" custom EVO. It snapped when bike backfired when kick starting it. Put chain back in.

I'm pretty sure it does not work on the 110's and newer Harley's. The only thing, as far as belt drives, I've found that will work is BDL's open primary setup.

No. I'm still suffering with the crappy compensator.

On my third one in 27,000+/- miles. The most recent one installed in late Aug lasted 400 miles. The dealer said Harley Tech is sending them a spacer washer to use. It appears the crank extending out the primary side is a bit long. We'll see.

If this doesn't work I'm not sure what I'll do. The BDL setup is something $2,000+ BEFORE LABOR.

willyB, thats what the tech did on mine when it started beating and banging at ~6k miles.  at 15-16K it started to make noise again. thanks for the reply looking at doing the belt drive conversion this winter if needed when i do the 20k service.

Harley will never fix the compensator issue unless they get dinged for it publically.

I had one in my bike, took it out as the dry clutch was so noisy but the chain back in.

I was running in on an evo with 110" S&S  motor, no problems other than the noise from the dry clutch rattle
