So I don't know if I told you guys but I actually bought a limited (Daytona Blue)but couldn't take delivery because of the recall. CVO was in the corner and I couldn't sleep that night.  Long story short I called the wife and then the dealer and traded the limited.  I convince the wife because I thought upgrades would be minimal.  Didn't realize that there is no way out of it...

Did it seems to move you either forward (closer) or backward (further) from the front end?

Simon - have you sat on the 15 yet?

I did a 25 mile road test on a standard 2015 RG. I got to sit on a 2105 CVO Ultra saturday.

Seating is very different between the two. The RGU was at least 2-3" higher seat height and seemed to move me forward a bit.

Nice... I went with the CVO instead of the Limited because I thought it eliminated the need for upgrades.  Man have I figured out how wrong I was.. :o

So I have sat on the '15 RGU. I did about a 10 mile demo. Sat on one at Ashville HD along with Gadgetz (not BSR). And also FLTR?Dave let me sit on his to enjoy his handlebar positioning.

Gadetz had the same comments are you. I was not that sensitive to the higher seat position (didn't notice it really). I did seem forward a little but was not sure if that was an effect of the new fairing tilt or not. When I reached my hand down to the seat/tank interface it seemed to hit my crotch about the same as my '11.

If I find I am too forward, I will try my HD Tall Boy to see how that feels. Hell, that might get me even higher in the saddle.  ;)

Very Good Looking Seat can you add or remove air like you can with the airhawk seat pad ??? or is this sealed no adjustment.

Dante, you can adjust it. You fill the bladder and then there is a relief value. I found this video on youtube that does a good job of demonstrating the process.

I have 24000 miles on mine, best seat ever! Took me a while to stop putting to much air in it. For some obsessive reason every time I would get it perfect, next time I would ride I would convince myself that I "lost some air" and pump more in and screw it up.
I have had 3 Corbins in the past and though I did like them obviously there is no comparison to the DG Bigseat Air hawk. Really not even close, I can go 14 hours on the DG. Their customer service was world class as well. They designed my seat by their artist and I am as high maintenance as it gets and they were amazing at exceeding my expectations which is tough..

Well, you make me feel good about my decision to purchase one used on eBay this week. It appears to be "like new" and I got the seat, backrest and pillion with the AirHawk. Primarily I got this to be able to run a solo configuration.

Just getting started. Less then 2 years in.

You guys all have a LONG way to go til you catch me in the "unjustifiable spending" department!

I used to have a spreadsheet where I listed everything I had done to Honey Badger… but eventually I just stopped updating it nor even looking at it, because the numbers were just getting too scary! If I ever sold this bike, I'd lose my shirt on it!

I had done the same thing on my old 95 FLHTP… the numbers for it got obscenely high as well, and I didn't get back HALF of what I had in the bike when I sold it. It's just too easy to mod these things and break your wallet in the process!

To the OP... Your Danny Gray Air Hawk seat is beautiful! The main reason I dumped the stock seat on Honey Badger was because it was so thin and useless, and you couldn't even put a back rest on it. I might look into that solo seat. I would love to have a solo seat for when I ride alone - which is most of the time actually, since my wife often prefers to ride her little Ninja 650, and she doesn't like the all-day trips my riding buds and I so often take.
